Our family recently relocated to NWA from Chicago. Although I do miss the mature trees and mild summers, I have found a kinship with the rolling hills and country roads. I am from North Carolina originally and received a BS in Neuroscience from BYU. As the middle child to four brothers I have a deep respect for adventure and wit. The four current boys in my life are my charming husband, my three sons, and my German Shepherd. Needless to say, I am no stranger to messes and mayhem.
Like many before me, I entered the photography space because I wanted to pause my ever-changing, never-stopping boys. I recognized that every late night cuddle, bouncy ringlet curl, and indoor fort masterpiece was fleeting. I wanted to remember everything from the way my son throws his arms back to the sky to run faster to the sharpie incident. You know the one: a trail of sharpie that starts on one wall, leaves you in suspense for a few feet, and culminates in a glorious mural on another. Needless to say, photography has been one of the great loves of my life.
Behind the lens
There is so much beauty and goodness all around us. Sometimes life is just too fast-paced and stressful for us to see it.
I believe this focus and passion for storytelling to be my greatest lens of all.
Oh and if you are still not sure that I am your girl, you should probably know that: I'm a hopeless romantic, I've seen every episode of The Golden Girls.... six times, and I'm always losing my glasses... which is a problem when I'm trying to watch the Golden Girls.
